We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Driver to join our team in Birmingham, United Kingdom. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods or passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries or passenger arrivals
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload cargo or assist passengers as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Handle cash transactions and maintain proper documentation when required
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times
- Adapt to changing schedules and road conditions with flexibility and resilience
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities
- Proficiency in using GPS and navigation tools
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Ability to lift and handle packages of varying weights
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in record-keeping
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and routes
- Goal-oriented with a commitment to meeting delivery or transportation targets
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a professional driver preferred
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required for certain positions
