TLDR
Deliver and stock Hispanic branded meats and cheeses at customer locations while providing excellent customer service and maintaining inventory standards on designated routes.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, delivers and stocks product at customer locations on an assigned route. The product is Hispanic branded meats and cheeses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including product rotation; ensure pricing matches current promotions and that marketing materials are displayed.
- Protect and gain shelf space for Bar-S products by stocking bunkers and promotional spaces; optimize brand presence in designated areas.
- Unload product at customer locations and stock according to specifications; collect signed receipt documents per company policy.
- Provide excellent customer service; assess customer needs to recommend products and maintain strong relationships.
- Load truck at distribution center; acknowledge and sign for product from DC or carriers.
- Perform accounts receivable duties including issuing/reviewing invoices and credit memos; follow procedures for inventory proof of delivery and returns; receive payment for delivered product.
- Inspect vehicle and maintain driver records, plates, insurance, and routine maintenance; report mechanical issues, accidents, or driving violations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- One (1) year of sales route experience
- Fluent in Spanish and intermediate English proficiency (DOT Requirement)
- Valid driver's license and required vehicle insurance
- MVR meeting Sigma driving standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
License/Certifications
- Experience delivering refrigerated food to stores
- Food product and/or consumer packaged goods sales experience

- Strong customer service skills with ability to respond to varied situations positively
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Fluent Spanish; intermediate English
- Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain professional demeanor, and work independently
ENVIRONMENTAL / WORKING CONDITIONS
- Able to work in cold environment (approx. 34°F) for extended periods
- Travel up to 90%, including overnight stays (up to 5 days at a time)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to sit/drive for at least 4 hours
- Able to climb in/out of truck cab/body
- Able to stand for at least 4 hours
- Repeatedly lift/move 30-pound boxes/buckets
- Perform repeated twisting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling of 30 pounds
- Move 75-pound load on cart/hand-truck without assistance
