In this position, you will play a key role in validating and analyzing DOCSIS-based Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), ensuring stability, performance, and functional reliability of the devices used in next-generation broadband networks.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in a Linux environment, contributing to hands-on device validation and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate and verify the functionality, stability, and performance of DOCSIS modems and CPE devices.
- Perform network data analysis using tools such as Wireshark.
- Test network protocols at OSI layers 2, 3, and 4 (IP, UDP, TCP).
- Perform WiFi testing, including support for WiFi 6.0 and 7.0 standards.
- Conduct UI testing and mobile application testing for Android and iOS platforms.
- Work with Linux systems using command-line tools.
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to report and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in a networking or telecommunications environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of DOCSIS technologies and CPE testing.
- Solid understanding of network protocols (IP, UDP, TCP) and WiFi technologies.
- Experience working in Linux (command-line proficiency required).
- Familiarity with mobile app and UI validation (Android/iOS).
- Fluency in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Belgian work permit and currently reside in Belgium.
