Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Distribution & Receiving Clerk/Driver with excellent customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. Under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the Distribution & Receiving Clerk/Driver assures the timely receiving, processing, accounting, and distribution/delivery of purchases. Provides inventory support for multiple clinics throughout Los Angeles County using Inventory Tracking software and developing efficient delivery route schedule based on supply needs.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least one (1) year receiving/inventory/warehouse experience
Experience with inventory tracking software preferred
Willingness to drive to and make deliveries to all our centers throughout LA County
Must have a valid California driver’s license and be insurable under PPLA Insurance Policies
Ability to repeatedly lift/move items weighing more than 50 lbs. using safe lifting techniques
Competency with Microsoft Office software
Understanding of truck route scheduling and delivery process
About the position:
Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers, and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPLA locations, and by all PPLA employees. Supporting these critical services is an essential job duty, and a fundamental responsibility of all employees and contractors.
Monitor receiving dock and receive shipments and mail using the recommended and appropriate security procedures
Verify receipt of items compared to items ordered; resolve discrepancies in coordination with buyers
Input of items received into purchasing / accounting system
Maintain proper organization of all supplies on premises at headquarters
Cross-train on responsibilities of Receiving Specialist and serve as back-up to other driver (e.g. matching of purchase orders to packing slips and invoices)
Retrieve, pack, and deliver inventory/supply orders to all PPLA locations (health centers & headquarters) and obtain Center Manager, or other designees, signatures upon delivery of new inventory
Conduct periodic Inventory Counts
Assist in developing and maintaining proper supply inventory levels, medication expiration dates, and controls to help create efficiencies in the department
Distribute internal mail and packages and maintain postage meter
Responsible for keeping PPLA vehicle in proper working condition including maintenance and weekly washes
Report any mechanical or other problems with PPLA vehicle
Perform daily pre-trip inspection of company vehicle and submit report to the Purchasing Manager

Hiring Range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour (Non-Exempt)
