ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Revelator’s senior leader for the digital distribution supply chain, you will own the end-to-end pipeline, from catalog ingestion and metadata compliance to DSP connectivity and incident resolution. Leading the Distribution Operations team, you will serve as the company’s subject matter expert on DDEX standards and partner with Product and Engineering to drive platform improvements. This role requires a blend of technical fluency and leadership, with the ability to manage complex delivery specifications alongside team KPIs and client relationships.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Direct the global distribution team to ensure seamless content delivery for both in-house and client-facing pipelines.

  2. Critical Incident Ownership: Act as the primary escalation point for distribution issues, coordinating cross-functional resolution between internal teams and DSP partners.

  3. Concierge & Priority Management: Oversee the "Concierge" service to ensure high-priority releases are monitored and protected.

  4. Technical Relationship Management: Manage Revelator’s technical partnerships with DSPs, ensuring stable integrations and smooth onboarding of new connections.

  5. Data Standards Authority: Serve as the internal SME for DDEX and digital music data standards to inform both operational and engineering decisions.

  6. Business Intelligence: Develop and maintain the reporting infrastructure to provide leadership with actionable data and drive continuous operational improvement.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 5–7 years of experience in technical music distribution or supply chain leadership.

  • Advanced DDEX ERN expertise, including the ability to troubleshoot and discuss specs with engineering teams.

  • Hands-on proficiency with XML and a deep understanding of ISRC, ISWC, and metadata standards.

  • Proven success in managing DSP technical relationships and delivery pipelines.

  • Experienced people leader capable of running operational cadences and developing team members.

  • Ability to build operational workflows and reporting infrastructure from the ground up.

  • Excellent cross-functional communicator comfortable working with Product and BD stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience at leading music tech companies or distributors (e.g., DistroKid, FUGA, or equivalent).

  • Expertise in managing large-scale catalog migrations across distribution systems.

  • Technical familiarity with APIs, SFTP, and distribution delivery infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in SQL and data reporting tools like Looker or Tableau.

  • Experience collaborating with Engineering teams in Agile or sprint-based environments.

  • Participation in industry groups like DDEX to drive standards and best practices.

  • Strong command of Monday.com and modern operational dashboarding tools.

  • Enthusiasm for exploring AI-driven tools to enhance operational performance.

Technical Environment:

While we expect experience with a subset of these areas, a breadth of knowledge across the following categories is highly relevant to this role:

  • Delivery Standards: DDEX ERN, MEAD, and RIN; proficiency in XML.

  • Rights & Metadata: Comprehensive knowledge of ISRC, ISWC, CWR, and standard label copy.

  • Delivery Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with SFTP, S3, API integrations, and iTunes Transporter-equivalent tools.

  • DSP Platforms: Familiarity with the technical requirements of Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, TikTok, Deezer, and Beatport.

  • Operations & Project Management: Proficiency in Monday.com (our primary tool) and Jira or equivalent for engineering tickets.

  • Analytics & Reporting (Preferred): Experience with SQL, Looker, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.

  • Platform Context: You will work directly within Revelator’s proprietary platform (RevPro); full training will be provided.
