ABOUT YOUR ROLE

You will be responsible for overall site Operations performance in financial, quality, service, safety, inventory management, employee management, employee development as well as build a strong continuous improvement culture to support business growth. You will report to the Plant Manager and will be leading a team of Supervisors, Team Leaders and Technicians.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Improve the productivity of the Distribution Center by on-going development of systems.
  • Responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistics activities such as master roll receiving, shipment arrangement, warehouse management and materials control.
  • Manage a team of operators to carry out the day-to-day operations and problem shooting in the production and warehouse areas.
  • Liaise with local Sales and Marketing teams to troubleshoot Finish Product run ability at customer’s facility, also explore improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures maximum efficient operations of facilities and equipment, as well as the care of all grounds and support equipment, through the direction of a technical support staff made up of supervisors, technicians, custodians, and the purchase of necessary outside technical and non-technical support services.
  • Lead a team of people to provide quality after-sales services in order to meet the customers’ needs.
  • Ensure tracking and use of key performance indicators to promote improved operational and business results.
  • Develop, analyze and manage Operational expenses to be always in the AOP and budget.
  • Lead a safe operation of the business unit and comply with legal, legislative and corporate safety requirements.
  • Focus on improving more complex performance of the site: develop site organizational culture that fosters continuous improvement.
  • Train and provide development opportunities for staff. Ensure annual goals are complete and communicated.
  • Ensure Global Performance Management System is up to date and regular feedback is provided to staff members.
  • Coordinate team efforts, create and manage country strategy and team operating plan.
  • Design and implement operational improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, productivity, inventory, service and people development.
  • Drive execution of site improvement plans, drive improvement projects, project management and help set operations improvement goals, ensure priorities and accountabilities are always clear within operations, provide resources and remove obstacles to ensure success.
  • Working with cross functional teams to achieve the Avery target and direction. 
  • Analyze and draw information for long-term strategic change and improvement.
  • Oversee the practice of all health and safety procedures, ensuring that safety is employees’ top priority.
  • Support additional task from superior level
  • Degree in engineering

  • 8 years experience in leading operations for manufacturing. 

  • At least 5 years experience in people management

  • Candidates from FMCG, Printing, Labels, Chemicals preferred.

  • Hands-on experience in ELS is a must.

  • Hands-on experience in MOE (Manufacturing Operating Expense) & TME is (Total Managed Expenditure) preferred.

  • Good interpersonal skills, Coaching skill , result oriented, problem solving and strong leadership

  • Project management skills

  • Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS, continuous flow, cellular etc.) and the ability to integrate those into the operation.
