We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Dispatch Team Leader to join our Dispatch team in Cramlington.

The Dispatch Team Leader will be required to work a 12:30pm-8:30pm shift, Monday to Friday.

Annual Salary is £29,500

Duties include the following yet others may be assigned to the needs of the business:

• Work and supervise and lead a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and support
• Schedule and assign dispatch tasks to team members
• Monitor and track dispatch activities, to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
• Effectively communicate with other departments to optimise dispatch operations and improve overall efficiencies
• Assist in in recruiting, training, and evaluating dispatch team members
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for dispatch operations  
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
• Help maintain a high level of safety, cleanliness and organisation around the workplace
• Comply with all company and HSE Health and Safety rules
• To abide by and support the company’s ISO 9001 QMS

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching, logistics or a similar role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
• Available to work overtime when required
• Able to work shifts if required
• Able to lift up to 25kg
