What You’ll Do:

The Commercial Accounting Team at CoreWeave is central to recognizing and reporting revenue and invoicing customers as efficiently and accurately as possible. This team supports the overall Finance function by being strategic and forward-looking in its endeavors, advising on the financial impacts of different go-to-market strategies and contracts as well as automating at a rapid pace and assisting other teams within CoreWeave to automate with us. About the role:

You’ll be a leader in CoreWeave’s Commercial Accounting function by leading the Technical Revenue team in its review of strategic, complex sales contracts, evaluation of new product and service offerings and coordination with the rest of Commercial Accounting to ensure proper treatment of the technical aspects of the Company’s sales.  You’ll also partner with numerous teams including Revenue Operations (Sales Ops), FP&A, Product Management and others to optimize the financial results of our largest, most strategic contracts while they are in the negotiation stage. In addition, you will propose changes to the entire Order to Cash process in order to automate, streamline and improve controls across the process. In this role, you will have an opportunity to have an enormous impact on the future of the Finance department and the company as a whole. This role reports to the Head of Commercial Accounting.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with senior members of other business functions (Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Finance and Product Management) to provide potential revenue outcomes of CoreWeave’s largest deals based on draft quotes/proposals and propose improvements
  • Provide technical accounting expertise for the Technical Revenue and broader Commercial Accounting Teams
  • Update and evolve the Commercial Accounting Team’s accounting policies and positions
  • Drive the Commercial Accounting Team’s internal, continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee the Technical Revenue team’s evaluation of new sales offerings, channels and go to market strategies
  • Evaluate the revenue accounting policies of acquired companies for consistency and appropriateness 
  • Review technical revenue policies, memos and deal review documentation for accuracy and completeness of conclusions
  • Propose and see through to completion process improvements across the Order to Cash cycle, but focused on the quoting and technical accounting sub-processes
  • Lead and develop the Technical Revenue team 
  • Effectively manage workflow to provide timely feedback and input while keeping management aware of key issues
  • Collaborate with broader Commercial Accounting Team on completing month-end close and deal review activities
  • Work with external auditors to address and close audit issues in a timely manner

Who You Are: 

  • 7+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting at high-growth tech companies
  • 4+ years within public companies
  • 2+ years of Big 4 audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606
  • Experience evaluating sales contracts for embedded leases under ASC 842
  • Deep experience evaluating sales quotes and related agreements for technical revenue considerations and proposing solutions
  • Experience improving quoting and technical revenue processes
  • Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable rolling up sleeves and getting into the details

The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets.
