The role of our Marketplace Strategic Finance org is to make sense of complex business data to help LinkedIn make the best strategic decisions to grow and operate the business. The StratFin Data and Analytics team (FDNA) is a multidisciplinary team of data and analytics professionals, where we build decision-grade intelligence for business performance management, short/long-term forecasting, and business optimization across LinkedIn’s member ecosystem and monetization channels. 

We are on a multi-year journey to empower the best strategic finance organization with: 

  • Easy access to a rich set data, metrics, and reports curated for finance 
  • Analytics partnership to bring clarity to complex problems 
  • ML/AI tools that augment existing processes around performance monitoring and forecasting 

We’re seeking an experienced data leader to own and scale FDnA. You will set product vision and operating cadence, partner closely with Strategic Finance leadership, and ensure continuity and evolution of the core data assets the team has created.

Key Responsibilities: 

Execution & Organization

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team spanning analytics engineering, business intelligence, and ML/AI applications. Establish operating rituals for roadmap, OKRs, and quality.  
  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of FDnA data foundations, reports/dashboards, and intelligent applications; ensure reliability and scale across StratFin’s data ecosystem.  
  • Partner cross‑functionally (Finance, Product, Sales, Engineering) to integrate FDnA assets into business workflows for performance management, forecasting, and optimization.  

Strategic Thinking

  • Understand the highest priorities of the business and proactively provide insights and build data products to support those priorities 
  • Champion novel ideas and AI‑enabled workflows; develop execution plans and roadmaps for FDnA applications 

Stakeholder Influence

  • Synthesize performance drivers, forecasts, and trends into clear narratives that influence senior stakeholders; drive alignment on strategic decisions and trade‑offs.  
  • Serve as a thought partner to Strategic Finance leaders on where emerging tools and technologies in data and AI will unlock faster time‑to‑insight.  

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in quantitative discipline: statistics, operations research, computer science, informatics, engineering, applied mathematics, economics, or related AND minimum 10 years of experience in data and analytics, or related field OR equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years leading multi‑disciplinary teams that ship data products/AI solutions used in business decisioning. 
  • Skilled in SQL, Python, and Data Visualization 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven success building curated data assets and AI/ML‑driven applications for forecasting, anomaly detection, and prescriptive insights 
  • Expertise with modern data/BI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks) and production‑grade pipelines (e.g. Airflow, Spark) 
  • Domain familiarity with various monetization models (B2B SaaS, B2C SaaS, Online Media) 
  • Track record of operational efficiency (automation at scale), with measurable time‑savings and accuracy improvements across business processes. 
  • Executive communication: ability to craft clear narratives from data and influence strategic decisions across senior stakeholders.

The pay range for this role is $173,000-$280,000 Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
