Director, Software Engineering (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-performing engineering teams developing cutting-edge AI-enabled clinical intelligence SaaS solutions. You will guide full-stack software teams through the product lifecycle, from concept and design to build and deployment, ensuring products are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. Collaborating closely with product and design teams, you will foster a culture of innovation, autonomy, and technical excellence. This position requires strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and the ability to solve complex problems while delivering impactful outcomes. The role is fully remote with some travel, providing flexibility while enabling collaboration across distributed teams.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead, mentor, and grow high-caliber engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.

·         Oversee recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development for team members.

·         Contribute to strategic planning, aligning engineering objectives with organizational goals and long-term technology initiatives.

·         Provide technical guidance to ensure implementation of best practices, high-quality software delivery, and adherence to security and compliance standards.

·         Partner with product management and design teams to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of features.

·         Identify opportunities for technological advancement and innovation, maintaining awareness of industry trends.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

·         8+ years managing software engineering teams in agile, fast-paced environments.

·         5+ years building B2B, multi-tenant SaaS products with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software on time and within budget.

·         Strong technical expertise in one or more programming languages and frameworks, preferably JVM-based.

·         Experience in healthcare or life sciences and B2B enterprise environments is highly desirable.

·         Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward high performance.

·         Experience with compliance, security protocols, and operationalizing software products at scale.
