In this role, you’ll bring strategic clarity, operational excellence, and strong cross-functional leadership to elevate responsible business principles in meaningful, scalable ways across HubSpot.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the next evolution and execution of HubSpot’s responsible business strategy, integrating it into business growth aspirations as well as operations.
  • Partner with leadership to evolve HubSpot’s long-term vision, goals, and roadmap for sustainable and purpose-driven growth.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across sustainability strategy, operations, reporting, and engagement.
  • Serve as a thought leader on emerging trends in responsible business and purpose-driven growth, especially within digital and AI-powered industries. 
  • Strengthen governance structures that ensure compliance with global sustainability standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Establish and manage clear commitments, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms that drive accountability and measurable impact.
  • Oversee sustainability reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with leading frameworks and disclosure standards.
  • Coordinate external ratings, rankings, and assurance activities to demonstrate progress and maintain credibility with stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed responsible business principles into company culture, brand recognition, decision-making and day-to-day practices.
  • Represent HubSpot in responsible business forums, partnerships, and external initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in responsible business, sustainability, corporate citizenship or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience guiding teams or major strategic programmes.
  • Ability to influence senior executives, collaborate across diverse teams, and drive alignment in ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and scaling responsible business  strategies in fast-growing organisations.
  • Experience in building authentic purpose-driven brand awareness in a commercial environment.   
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to delivery.
  • Expertise in sustainability data analysis, reporting, and interpretation, with experience applying leading standards and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, mission-driven mindset and the ability to thrive in dynamic, evolving contexts.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience in global organisations operating across the UK, Ireland, or the EU regulatory landscape.
  • Familiarity with digital, technology, or AI sector sustainability challenges and opportunities.
  • Prior experience engaging with sustainability ratings, rankers, and assurance bodies.
