We are looking for a passionate leader who has a deep understanding of recruitment and talent landscape across the globe. You will be interfacing with our leadership team in Taiwan, understanding the drivers and deliverables, thereby helping them translate these goals to talent objectives. You will then work with your team to make those goals a reality. To be successful at Coupang, you need to be deeply entrenched in the nuances of recruiting, with the ability to guide the team to attracting the best talent. You will have the ability to dive deep into all aspects of Recruiting – Talent Mapping, Sourcing, Engaging and Closing and Employer Branding. You will work closely with Recruiting Operations and Programs as well as Global Mobility teams to ensure top of the class candidate experience. With a strong track record of success, you will be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities.  The role is based in Taipei, Taiwan and offers full expat benefits to eligible candidates.

 

 What You Will Do:

  • Forge strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across various job functions and levels to understand hiring needs.
  • Manage funnel metrics, work backwards, and translate these to hiring goals while maintaining world class candidate experience.
  • Work closely with your team members to build TA plans, closely monitor the delivery and pivot quickly.
  • Hire, coach, and develop a best in class recruiting team whilst helping to ensure your team is structured so we are aligned to adequately support the business and flexible to changing business priorities.
  • Understand resource limitations and lead, motivate, and mentor a team of recruiters to meet the needs of our ambitious hiring plans by prioritizing ruthlessly within a short time line.
  • Be accountable for overall team goals; measure and cascade recruiting reporting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence and make decisions informed by data.
  • Dive deep to evaluate the current state of affairs, prioritize improvement opportunities, and see solutions across the finish line whilst being open to iterations along the way.

 

Basic qualification: 

  • 15+ years of demonstrated experience in a high performing recruitment organization.
  • 5+ years in building and leading best in class recruiting teams.
  • Deep expertise in recruiting top talent for complex companies across the globe.
  • Ability to thrive in uncertainty and love for numbers and metrics.
  • Proven track record in hiring first class talent and developing them into one team.
  • Expertise in full lifecycle recruiting aspects, employment laws, salary trends.
  • Ability to think globally and execute locally, with strong business acumen.
  • Positive energy, optimistic and “can-do” attitude.

 

Preferred qualification:

  • Start up and/or E-commerce industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline

Document Return Policy

  • This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
  • A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant. 
  • A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit the request to the Company by email ([email protected]) In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail. 
  • In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all of his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
