Role Summary

As the Director of Provider Relations at Spring Fertility, you will lead a high-performing team focused on expanding the practice through strategic partnerships with healthcare providers. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will combine relationship management, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making to drive business growth while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of field sales experience in healthcare, technology, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices, including 3+ years managing sales or customer success teams. You thrive in high-velocity environments, with a proven track record of leading top talent. Adaptable and hands-on, you are comfortable pivoting strategies quickly, working in both startup and dynamic settings, and actively engaging in prospecting, selling, and closing new business. You excel in goal-setting, KPI management, and leveraging data (especially CRM tools) to inform strategy. Passionate about developing team members, you cultivate a growth mindset while building strong, meaningful relationships through curiosity, empathy, and authentic engagement.

What You'll Own:

Referral Volume: Drive growth by meeting and exceeding referral targets

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team of Physician Liaisons to achieve and exceed targets
  • Conduct “ride-alongs” with Physician Liaisons (both virtual and in-person)
  • Lead new Physician Liaison hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment focused on activity, accountability and achievement
  • Directly assist in all phases of the business development process including prospecting, value proposition, follow-up and closing
  • Work cross-functionally, specifically with our Director of Patient Onboarding and Site Practice Managers, to understand and trouble shoot barriers to patient conversion
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare marketing and sales regulations and ethical guidelines

Strategic Planning and Channel Strategy: Collaborate with the SVP of Marketing to

  • Set KPIs and strategic goals that align with overall business objectives
  • Identify hiring plans/targets for expanding Physician Liaison headcount
  • Develop and implement performance management processes
  • Iterate on Referral Playbook, associated training materials, and both provider- and patient-facing print collateral to clearly communicate the Spring Difference
  • Develop data-driven prospecting strategies
  • Surface market trends and insights from Physician Liaisons to inform strategic decisions

Data & Analytics: Leverage Salesforce reporting and other internal data sources to

  • Present referral reports and forecasts to executive and physician leadership to show progress towards strategic objectives and to inform process improvements
  • Create reports to regularly analyze individual Physician Liaison and regional performance, to identify strengths and areas for development across individual Physician Liaisons and the broader team
  • Create formal territory plans, quotas, and performance-based compensations plans

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in field-based roles in healthcare, technology, pharmaceuticals and/or medical device
  • 3+ years leading sales or customer success management teams

Employment Type

This is a full time exempt position with expected travel between 40-50% time in-market (San Francisco Bay Area) supporting Physician Liaisons and/or attending conferences, which may involve overnight travel depending on territory.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $140,000-$180,000 annually. Salary is based on several factors including job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees.
