SUMMARY

The Director of Product Management is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the overall product strategy, vision, and execution for their Product Journey(s) (portfolio). Reporting to the VP of Product, this role leads a team of Sr. Product Managers and Product Managers, ensuring alignment between business objectives, customer needs, and market trends.

As a key decision-maker, the Director of Product Management defines and prioritizes high-impact initiatives, fosters a culture of innovation, AI‑enabled experimentation, and data‑driven decision‑making, and collaborates closely with executives and cross-functional teams.

This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise SaaS, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, cross-functional leader, and product evangelist, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels while mentoring and scaling a high-performing product management team and evangelizing the thoughtful use of AI tools across discovery, documentation, and delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your assigned Product Journey(s), ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Set the strategic direction for multiple product lines within your Product Journey(s), balancing innovation with business needs.
  • Lead market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify trends, gaps, and areas for differentiation.
  • Influence pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing, sales, and finance.
  • Champion the responsible use of AI, analytics, and automation to accelerate product discovery, insight generation, and portfolio-level decision-making.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of Sr. Product Managers and Product Managers, providing guidance, career development, and performance coaching.
  • Establish best practices for product discovery, development, and execution, ensuring consistency and excellence across teams.
  • Foster a customer-first, data-driven product culture that prioritizes usability, scalability, and business impact.
  • Coach product managers on leveraging AI tools (e.g., copilots, research assistants, and summarization tools) to improve the quality and speed of discovery, requirements documentation, and go-to-market deliverables.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering leadership to ensure product development aligns with technical feasibility, resource constraints, and innovation goals.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to optimize product positioning, adoption, and retention strategies.
  • Serve as a key liaison to executive leadership, presenting product roadmaps, business cases, and performance metrics.
  • Act as a public-facing advocate for Avetta’s product vision, engaging with customers, partners, and industry leaders.

Product Execution & Performance

  • Own product portfolio-level KPIs, ensuring that all initiatives drive measurable impact on growth, engagement, and revenue.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics, A/B testing, and customer feedback loops.
  • Oversee prioritization and trade-offs across multiple product teams, balancing short-term execution with long-term strategic goals.
  • Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of roadmap initiatives, managing dependencies across teams.
  • Drive adoption of AI-powered delivery aids (such as prototypes and experiment analysis) that increase team throughput and quality while maintaining customer trust, security, and data privacy.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role within an enterprise SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing product teams.
  • Deep expertise in B2B SaaS, enterprise workflows, and subscription-based business models.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth through product innovation.
  • Strong track record of developing and executing product strategy, balancing short-term execution with long-term vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence C-level executives, investors, and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in technical feasibility assessments, customer research, AI-powered prototypes and analysis and business impact analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with AI/ML-driven products or data-heavy platforms.
  • Ability to manage global product teams across multiple time zones.

IDEAL EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Certifications in Agile, Lean Product Management, or Strategic Leadership are a plus.
  • MBA or equivalent leadership experience.

The salary range included in this job posting is based on internal and market data and the role's responsibilities. The final compensation offered to a candidate will be determined by several factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 per year, with a potential bonus.
