WHOOP is on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. Our wearable technology helps members understand their bodies and optimize recovery, training, and health. Every WHOOP product must deliver truth in measurement and trust in performance — and that’s where you come in.
We’re seeking a Director of Product Integrity to lead the end-to-end organization encompassing Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, Field Quality, and Global Manufacturing Quality under one unified mission: ensuring every WHOOP device performs flawlessly from factory through end-of-life in the field.
This senior technical leader will own the full lifecycle of product integrity — from design validation and global manufacturing readiness to post-launch field performance — while partnering closely with Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Test Engineering, Firmware, Data Science, Supplier Development, and NPI Quality Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead our global Product Integrity organization spanning Reliability, Failure Analysis, Field Quality, and Global Manufacturing Quality, with accountability from multi-site factory yield to field performance
Build and scale a Reliability & Global Manufacturing Quality Center of Excellence (CoE) establishing standardized processes across regions, partners, and product lines
Own Global Manufacturing Quality performance including in-line yield, outgoing quality (OBA/OQC), escape prevention, and continuous improvement across all contract manufacturers and sites
Establish and enforce global quality standards including PFMEA, control plans, SPC, GR&R, and layered process audits to ensure consistent execution across regions
Drive cross-site quality governance, ensuring alignment of KPIs, reporting, escalation mechanisms, and corrective action rigor across all manufacturing partners
Partner with Supplier Development Engineering to ensure global supplier quality consistency, capability, and incoming quality control strategies
Ensure manufacturing readiness globally through rigorous qualification processes (IQ/OQ/PQ), pilot builds, and validation of test coverage and guardbands across sites
Partner with NPI Quality Engineering to ensure design and process risks are identified early and transferred effectively into high-volume global manufacturing
Direct a rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) program to ensure products are fully validated from a real-world user perspective prior to launch
Oversee Early Field Failure Analysis (EFFA) and root cause processes, rapidly closing loops between field, factory, and design across all regions
Own field reliability and sustaining quality, tracking return rates, parametric drift, and user experience KPIs to drive continuous improvement
Establish closed-loop feedback systems connecting field failures → global factory escapes → design and process improvements
Lead executive Quality Health Reviews and chair cross-functional Quality forums to align engineering, operations, and supply chain on global product health
Develop and mentor a world-class technical team capable of operating across regions, cultures, and manufacturing partners
QUALIFICATIONS:
12+ years in hardware reliability, product quality, global manufacturing quality, or test engineering in high-volume consumer electronics or wearable/medical devices
Deep experience in global manufacturing environments, including multi-site quality management, contract manufacturing, and supply chain quality systems
Expertise in Design-for-Reliability (DfR), manufacturing quality systems, and validation methodologies including HALT/HASS/ALT, PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and 8D
Proven track record of improving yield, reducing escapes, and scaling quality across multiple regions and manufacturing partners
Strong experience driving standardization and governance across global sites, including KPI alignment and escalation systems
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary, globally distributed teams and influence across engineering, operations, and data science
Experience integrating field telemetry and predictive reliability analytics into product and manufacturing improvements
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering
A passion for the WHOOP mission and a drive to set new standards for health technology reliability
