We are looking for a Director of Platform Engineering to lead the teams responsible for our multi-cloud infrastructure, observability and reliability practices, developer experience, and CI/CD automation. This leader will shape the technical foundation that enables our product teams to build, deploy, and scale software reliably and efficiently.
Reporting to the SVP of Engineering, you will define platform strategy, guide architectural decisions, grow a high-performing team, and partner closely with product, security, and finance. The ideal candidate balances technical depth with strong leadership and an ability to align platform investments with company goals.

What You’ll Do
As a Director of Platform Engineering, you will:
- Platform Strategy & Team Leadership: Set the platform vision and lead execution across shared services, infrastructure, and tooling while building and mentoring high-performing platform, SRE, and DevOps teams.
- Multi-Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability: Own the design and operation of secure, scalable AWS and Azure environments, establishing standards for reliability, observability, resilience, and incident management.
- Developer Experience & Delivery: Create paved-road developer platforms, CI/CD systems, and automation that improve velocity, quality, and consistency across teams.
- Operational Excellence & Cost Governance: Champion operational rigor through SLOs, reviews, and cost-aware engineering practices, ensuring efficient, sustainable growth.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE leadership roles within a SaaS environment.
- Deep experience with secure cloud architectures, infrastructure-as-code, hybrid hosting models, and modern security technologies.
- Strong knowledge of observability and reliability engineering practices.
- Experience building internal platforms that enhance developer productivity and reduce operational burden.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize cloud costs at scale.
- Strong track record in incident response, risk management, and executive communication.
- Strong knowledge of GovRAMP, FedRAMP, NIST, STIGs, ISO 27001 and other government compliance frameworks.
- Ability to engage with government agencies and communicate security posture with clarity and confidence.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across engineering, product, and business functions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated Salary Grade Range: $177,000 - $279,600
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
