Accountabilities:

·         Lead packaging process development, scale-up, optimization, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for oral solid dosage products.

·         Drive CDMO/CMO selection, including technical evaluation, audits, contracting, and operational governance.

·         Oversee packaging launch readiness, including labeling, artwork, serialization, child-resistant/senior-friendly packaging, and distribution-related requirements.

·         Establish and manage commercial packaging operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and long-term supply continuity.

·         Author and contribute to packaging sections of regulatory submissions, including container closure system documentation and process descriptions.

·         Conduct packaging component qualification, compatibility studies, and stability evaluations.

·         Troubleshoot packaging issues, lead root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.

·         Drive continuous improvement initiatives across packaging operations, materials, and systems.

·         Collaborate cross-functionally to align packaging readiness with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and supply chain objectives.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Packaging Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering, or a related field.

·         10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical packaging engineering, including commercial or late-stage oral solid dosage products.

·         Deep expertise in bottling, blister packaging, labeling, serialization, and container–closure systems.

·         Proven success leading packaging process development, scale-up, qualification, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).

·         Experience managing CDMO/CMO partnerships and technical transfer for packaging operations.

·         Ability to support commercial packaging operations, including launch readiness and ongoing supply.

·         Strong knowledge of global regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, ICH), including CR/SF and serialization standards.

·         Experience with packaging component qualification, stability studies, and pre-approval inspections (PAIs).

·         Skilled in risk assessment (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action (CAPA).

·         Strong project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and external partner management skills.

·         Hands-on, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

·         Experience in veterinary or animal health packaging is a plus.
