Position Overview The Director of Project Management will build, lead, and scale the Nevados Project Management function. Reporting to the COO, this role is responsible for establishing best practices, developing standardized processes, and leading a high-performing team responsible for delivering successful project execution from contract award through commissioning and ongoing operations.  This leader will work cross-functionally across Engineering, Sales, Finance, Software, and Supply Chain to ensure the seamless installation and performance of the Nevados tracker solution while delivering an exceptional customer experience.  The role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on execution, including project governance, budget tracking, labor management, and cross-functional coordination. The Director will oversee the Construction Management, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and Field Technician teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and meet performance expectations.  We are seeking an experienced leader who can refine and scale project management processes while mentoring and developing a growing team. The Project Management team serves as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution and is responsible for driving results aligned with company objectives and customer expectations.  Leadership and Team Development
  • Build, lead, and mentor the Project Management organization, including oversight of Construction Management, O&M, and Field Technician teams. 
  • Develop team capabilities through training, coaching, and performance management. 
  • Establish project governance frameworks, processes, and standards for the PM organization. 
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for project execution. 
  • Project Execution and Oversight
  • Oversee project execution from contract award through commissioning and operational handoff. 
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality.  
  • Lead internal and customer-facing project meetings to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and progress tracking. 
  • Ensure accurate documentation of project updates, action items, risks, and decisions. 
  • Manage change orders and ensure the project management team executes them effectively. 
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies. 
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Finance, Software, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful project delivery. 
  • Coordinate responses to customer inquiries and RFI systems with internal teams. 
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to resolve project issues and maintain project schedules. 
  • Consolidate project learnings and implement improvements to prevent repeat issues. 
  • Operations and Field Coordination
  • Oversee commissioning and post-installation performance of Nevados systems. 
  • Coordinate closely with Construction, Field, and O&M teams to support site execution. 
  • Monitor internal performance dashboards to identify underperforming sites and implement corrective action plans. 
  • Lead remediation efforts including SOW development, RFQs, vendor selection, and project oversight. 
  • Customer Experience and Communication
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customers during project execution. 
  • Ensure consistent communication, reporting, and transparency with customers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Deliver project reporting aligned with company OKRs and leadership expectations. 
  • Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering (Civil preferred), Construction Management, Supply Chain, or related field. 
  • Experience
  • 10 years leading and developing project management or construction teams. 
  • 8+ years of construction management experience. 
  • Direct experience working on utility-scale PV projects with established, high-performing solar companies. 
  • Experience with solar tracker systems and tracker manufacturers. 
  • Experience working within an EPC or construction environment. 
  • Experience managing remediation or corrective construction efforts.  
  • Certifications: OSHA30
