Liquibase is hiring a Director of Professional Services to lead our team and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping companies achieve their DevOps goals and has the experience to lead a technical consulting team focused on databases, DevOps technologies, and enterprise IT environments. They will be pivotal in scaling our services, building customer trust, and driving revenue growth.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and manage the Professional Services team to ensure high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to drive license consumption and expansion revenue by conducting discovery sessions, creating Statements of Work (SOWs), and articulating the value of PS offerings to close deals.
• Take ownership of the Professional Services (PS) business, with accountability for achieving revenue targets and driving overall growth.
• Oversee implementation partners' training, certification, and performance to ensure consistent quality and successful customer outcomes.
• Act as a player-coach by performing customer implementations (requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation) and supporting key accounts.
• Mentor team members and provide growth opportunities through professional development initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing strategic guidance and ensuring long-term success, adoption, and expansion.

Must Haves:

• At least 8+ years in progressively responsible roles in Professional Services, with experience managing and scaling teams in the enterprise software space.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through strategic selling and consultative engagements.
• Strong technical expertise in databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD platforms.
• Proficiency in Git workflows and related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to prioritize and drive the resolution of complex technical issues in enterprise IT environments.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Background in pre-sales or sales engineering.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, and SOX.
