POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Director of Product, you will define and drive the product vision that connects our mission with the evolving needs of public sector and defense industrial base customers. You will shape how we design, package, and deliver tool-agnostic solutions that accelerate digital transformation and ensure best-in-class outcomes for federal agencies.

This role blends strategic product leadership, solution innovation, and deep market insight. You will ensure that every product initiative reinforces our value to mission-critical customers and positions Valiantys Federal as a leader in delivering scalable, secure, and forward-leaning solutions across the public sector ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Vision

Define the overarching product strategy that aligns with public sector modernization priorities and Valiantys Federal’s mission.

Translate market insights, customer needs, and mission requirements into a clear, actionable product roadmap.

Drive the evolution of solution offerings that are secure, scalable, tool-agnostic, and optimized for government environments.

SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT & PACKAGING

Lead the creation of standardized service offerings, accelerators, and solution frameworks tailored for regulated markets.

Ensure each offering clearly articulates mission value, compliance posture, and integration flexibility.

Partner with engineering, delivery, and sales leadership to validate feasibility, repeatability, and customer impact.

MARKET & CUSTOMER INSIGHT

Monitor emerging technologies, procurement trends, and evolving modernization drivers across federal agencies and the defense industrial base.

Conduct continuous competitive and market analysis to guide product differentiation and positioning.

Engage directly with customers, mission owners, and partners to refine product needs and validate value propositions.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and go-to-market teams to ensure cohesive messaging, packaging, and launch readiness.

Enable delivery teams with clear product definitions, reference architectures, and implementation standards.

Partner with strategic alliances and system integrators to co-develop solution offerings aligned to federal mission requirements.

PERFORMANCE & LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT

Establish KPIs to measure product adoption, performance, and customer impact.

Oversee the full lifecycle of offerings—from ideation to launch to continuous improvement.

Identify opportunities to streamline or retire offerings based on market demand and organizational priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

8+ years of product management, solution strategy, or product leadership experience within consulting, SaaS, or public sector-focused technology organizations.

Direct experience supporting federal agencies, defense programs, or highly regulated mission environments.

Strong background in defining product strategy, building roadmaps, and launching market-ready offerings.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex mission or technical requirements into scalable product solutions.

Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED

Experience with Atlassian technologies, enterprise workflow platforms, or DevSecOps toolchains.

Familiarity with system integrators and the federal contracting ecosystem.

Understanding of emerging technologies (AI/ML, automation, cloud, workflow orchestration) within modernization initiatives.

Background in designing productized services or consulting solution accelerators.
