About myAgro:

myAgro is an award-winning non-profit social enterprise based in West Africa. We have developed a mobile savings model that allows farmers to invest their own funds in high-quality seed, fertilizer, and agricultural training to increase their harvest and income by 50-100%. Our North Star is to help 1 million farmers increase their incomes by $1.50 per day by 2026 and lift themselves out of poverty. Learn more from myAgro's founder and CEO here.

About the Role:

myAgro's products reach hundreds of thousands of farmers across West Africa — people who may have limited connectivity, varying literacy levels, and vastly different contexts from typical tech users. Building great products here means deeply understanding these users, getting into the field, and designing solutions that work in the real world, not just on a whiteboard.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will own our product roadmap and lead product development for both farmers and internal teams. The current product suite spans farmer-facing tools, tools for village field workers, cloud infrastructure, digital tools, and data products for office teams. You will manage a team of product managers, product associates, and designers to develop product strategy, define specifications, partner with engineering, launch products, and drive adoption.

You Will:

  • Lead a user-centered, impact-driven product development process.
  • Identify opportunities to launch or improve digital products, and guide them through development and launch
  • Lead the digital product roadmap to ensure that we hit important milestones, manage expectations, and oversee the product management and product support processes.
  • Structure and directly manage the team to ensure successful product management and development, including mentorship and training for user-centered design techniques, clear communication, and project management.
  • Communicate early and often, sharing regular written and verbal product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners.

You Have:

  • Curiosity to learn from the team and the users.
  • Minimum 7 years work experience, especially in product development and product management in technology companies.
  • Experience working with executives and senior stakeholders to translate business strategy into product priorities
  • Experience with user research, requirements gathering, and design thinking
  • Experience managing a product team
  • Comfort working closely with software engineering teams and enough technical fluency to participate in architecture and trade-off discussions
  • Previous cross-cultural experience for a period of 6 months or more, or some experience working in ICT4D context strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate to Dakar, Senegal, and travel to remote locations to develop in-depth understanding of our work and our users (up to 30%)

Our Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Approximately 4 weeks of paid time off each year
  • Retirement plan contributions / match
  • Professional development and laptop stipends
  • The opportunity to make a difference for farmers every day!
