About the role:

*This role is a New York City based HYBRID position. Candidates must be located in NYC, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).*

We are looking for a Director, Product Design to lead a high-performing team that consistently delivers premium, thoughtful experiences with the speed and nimbleness that fubo needs to stay ahead of the competition. The successful candidate will recognize quality, understand that design creates business impact by delivering exceptional experiences, and be able to joyfully collaborate with non-design colleagues to translate that understanding into a product that solves both user and business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on approach to turning concepts/ideas into deliverable products by developing, maintaining, and promoting a perspective on fubo’s user experience that reflects our premium pricing while being clear-eyed about prioritization
• Oversee multiple projects and balance design resources accordingly, ensuring that team members are set up for success by promoting transparency and collaboration
• Develop design talent and build a thriving environment where designers grow in their careers
• Provide timely and incisive design feedback that helps improve designs and grow designers
• Help the team and organization to leverage AI tools so designers can be more efficient and focused on what matters
• Resolve conflicts productively and proactively
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience managing a design system
• Knows the foundations and the tool(s) for good visual design and UX
• 5+ years of people management experience, with the ability to modify your approach based on the needs of the individual 
• 10+ years of experience in product design
• 10+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams
• Propensity to develop strong opinions, but hold them loosely

Pluses:

• Experience with streaming media products
• Experience leveraging AI to automate repetitive tasks
• Knowledge of/love for sports

Fubo’s minimum base salary for this role if hired in New York City is $200,000 per year; maximum base salary for this role is $250,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fubo's annual cash bonus plans, unlimited PTO, and a full range of medical benefits. The final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations.
