About this opportunity
The Director of People Operations is a strategic and highly operational leader responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing the core infrastructure of the People function. This role owns the systems, data, and operational backbone that enable informed decision‑making, organizational scale, and exceptional employee experiences.
You will lead the HR technology stack, ensure secure and compliant handling of employee and company data, drive systems migrations and automation, and bring rigor to compensation planning, workforce data, and people analytics. This role is critical to ensuring the People function operates with precision, transparency, and forward‑looking insight as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
People Systems & Technology

Own and manage the HR technology ecosystem (HRIS, ATS, performance, engagement, compensation, benefits, and analytics tools)

Lead system implementations, migrations, integrations, and vendor management

Identify opportunities for automation and tooling improvements to increase efficiency and scale

Serve as the People team subject‑matter expert on systems capabilities, data flows, and reporting
Data Security, Compliance & Integrity

Ensure employee and company data is handled safely, securely, and in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., SOC2, ISO, GDPR, internal controls)

Partner closely with IT, Security, and Finance to maintain strong data governance practices

Establish and enforce data accuracy, access controls, documentation, and audit readiness
People Analytics, Dashboards & Insights

Build and maintain People dashboards and analytics that surface real‑time insights across hiring, headcount, turnover, performance, compensation, engagement, and DEI

Enable leadership and department‑level dashboards to monitor trends, risks, and leading indicators

Translate data into clear insights and signals for what’s coming—not just what has happened
Compensation Planning & Analysis

Partner on company‑wide compensation planning, modeling, and analysis

Own compensation data integrity, cycle execution, and reporting

Support market benchmarking, internal equity analysis, and long‑term rewards strategy through data‑driven insights
People Team Operations & Project Management

Own core People team project planning, timelines, dependencies, and execution

Ensure people data, documentation, and processes remain accurate and up to date

Create scalable operating rhythms, documentation, and operational standards across the function
Operational Excellence & Infrastructure

Design and continuously improve the operational infrastructure of the People function

Establish workflows, playbooks, and metrics that support efficiency, accuracy, and consistency

Anticipate scaling needs and proactively evolve systems and processes ahead of growth
Preferred Qualifications & Experience

6-8+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or People Analytics roles, including leadership experience

Deep experience owning and scaling HR technology stacks and data infrastructure

Strong background in compensation analysis, workforce planning, and people analytics

Prior expereince with our tech stack will be beneficial: Greenhouse, Lattice, Pave, and iSolved

Proven ability to lead complex system implementations and cross‑functional initiatives

High attention to detail with a strong bias toward data accuracy and operational rigor

Experience partnering with IT, Finance, Legal, and Security teams
Location and Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based out of our Reston, Virginia office, which serves as Seekr’s headquarters and is home to our People and Culture team

The role follows an in-office schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (for all staff in this office), with flexibility to work remote on Wednesday and Friday
