Director of Operations & Facilities

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Director of Operations & Facilities to oversee and drive operational excellence across our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing growth, optimizing office space, ensuring security, enhancing team culture, and maintaining internal IT infrastructure. This role requires a proactive leader who can implement and refine operational processes to support business objectives effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support in development and implementation of operational strategies to support business expansion.
  • Ensure smooth integration of new teams, locations, or business units.
  • Create and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Oversee office space planning and allocation to accommodate growth.
  • Manage lease agreements, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance.
  • Collaborate on development of security policies to protect people, assets, and data.
  • Work closely with IT and HR to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and legal requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Oversee IT operations, ensuring smooth and secure technology systems.
  • Ensure employees have access to necessary tools, systems, and support.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in scaling organizations.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in facilities management and office planning.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, security policies, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and engaging company culture.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • CH / EU Citizenship is a must have.
  • Fluent in both English and German is a must have.
