seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives focused on the Chinese segment in the United States. This role will be responsible for elevating our brand presence, leading PR and content strategies, and building meaningful partnerships that drive growth. The ideal candidate understands the cultural nuances of Chinese business, is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and has a proven track record in brand building and B2B SaaS-focused marketing.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Brand, PR and content management

    • Oversee brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all channels that target the Chinese restaurants sector.
    • Develop and manage brand identity, including visual and verbal communication standards.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine brand strategy.
    • Develop compelling content strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels (e.g., WeChat, Rednote).
    • Oversee PR initiatives, including media relations, speaking opportunities, press releases, and reputation management tailored to Chinese audiences
  • Partnerships and Events:

    • Identify and manage strategic partnerships and collaborations.
    • Plan and execute industry events, trade shows, webinars, and other promotional activities.
    • Leverage events to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
  • Team Leadership and Development  

    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
    • Manage recruitment, training, and professional development of marketing staff.
  • Budget Management

    • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Track and report on marketing spend and ROI.
    • Make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing investments.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role;
  • prior experience in multicultural marketing or targeting Chinese business owners is required.
  • Strong understanding of Chinese culture and the U.S. Chinese restaurant ecosystem;
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is required
  • Proven success in brand building, content marketing, and partnership development, ideally in B2B environments.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create various content types. Required.
  • Experience managing budgets and leading small teams.
  • Highly analytical and creative, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution

Work Condition

  • Frequent virtual meetings via video conferencing platforms with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders across time zones.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
