What the Job Involves
The Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs, will support the company’s policy and regulatory agenda, including strategy and execution of legislative campaigns, management of company consultants and advocacy organizations, and the tracking of, and filings related to regulatory requirements. Legislative and regulatory focus will be on state and local government in the US, but may include international work in the EU member states, Canada and the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of legislative and regulatory strategy in the U.S. with state and local government, and possibly internationally in the EU and the UK.

  • Management of outside consultants, grassroots allies and other stakeholders.

  • Analysis of pending legislation and regulations, as well as current laws.

  • Work cross functionally with internal teams to maximize market opportunities, ensure compliance with appropriate laws and regulations, and seek input on pending policy issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree

  • 7+ years experience in policy, government, and/or law.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Passion for solving problems and finding effective solutions, regardless of how big or small the task.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams.

  • Willingness to travel.

Salary
$138,816 – $225,576 per year
