  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve corporate-wide EHS programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Serve as the senior EHS authority for policy, governance, and compliance standards enterprise-wide.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership on EHS risk, performance, and regulatory exposure.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. federal and state EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, RCRA, SPCC, NPDES, etc.).
  • Maintain working knowledge of Mexican and Canadian environmental regulations (preferred).
  • Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and agency interactions; proactively address findings and mitigation plans.

  • Manage legacy soil and groundwater remediation programs, including financial reserves and long-term liability planning.
  • Engage and manage external consultants, engineers, and environmental firms to resolve compliance and remediation issues.
  • Project & Program Management
  • Lead enterprise-level EHS initiatives using structured project management methodologies.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of professional EHS experience, including at least 5 years leading corporate-wide EHS programs
  • Demonstrated career progression into a corporate or enterprise EHS leadership role
  • Strong background in industrial or manufacturing environments (multi-plant required)

  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. federal and state environmental and safety regulations
  • Working knowledge of Mexican and Canadian environmental regulations (preferred)
  • Experience with sustainability reporting, data systems, and verification
  • Proven success managing environmental remediation projects, consultants, and financial reserves
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical, project management, and executive reporting capabilities

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is best suited for a true corporate EHS leader, not a single-site manager. The ideal candidate has already owned enterprise EHS programs, influenced senior leadership, and successfully operated in complex, regulated manufacturing environments.
