About the role:
Join Dashlane as a Director of Engineering and take part in a mission to create a beautiful and scalable application with global impact. As the most senior engineering leader in the Lisbon office, you will establish clear ownership and accountability across the organisation, anchor the team culturally and technically, drive delivery predictability and team health, and accelerate AI adoption across the engineering organisation.
Location:
You will be based in Lisbon, with English as your working language. At Dashlane, you will:
- Establish clear accountability structures across the organization, driving delivery predictability and ensuring every team understands what they own and why it matters;

Coach and grow engineering managers and individual contributors through candid feedback, structured career conversations, and a commitment to building teams people want to stay on;

Systematically improve ways of working — including accelerating AI adoption across the SDLC — by introducing new practices that measurably change team behavior;

Actively build Dashlane's technical brand in the local engineering community through thought leadership, event participation, and network development, turning visibility into a long-term recruiting advantage
Requirements:

8+ years of experience in software engineering

5+ years of experience in people management (ideally in a distributed environment)

3+ years of experience in managing managers and senior technical ICs (ideally in a distributed environment)

Fluency in English
We're Also Looking For:
- A candidate already actively adopting AI tools in their current work, with a clear and informed perspective on how AI impacts team delivery, productivity, and engineering quality;

Ability to articulate how to measure AI impact and define the transition metrics that matter;

Experience with a company at roughly Dashlane's size and scaling up;

Experience working in a distributed team across multiple timezones;

BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar relevant field
