The Director of Digital Engagement will develop fun, engaging, and innovative ideas and concepts that align with Office of Communications and agency goals. They will also advise on creative strategy for marketing, graphic design, videography and photography, and other related work. The candidate will be the lead social media content creator and supervise the agency social media team.

The responsibilities are but not limited to:

- Reporting to the assistant commissioner of Public Affairs, establish and lead implementation of the creative vision for the agency’s external social media channels.

- Develop creative messaging and strategies to advance agency goals across communications channels.

- Develop and help execute the agency’s strategy and content development for social media.

- Develop creative and compelling copy, reels, and other work product to use on social media, in marketing materials, to script and support multimedia projects, and across other communications channels as directed by the assistant commissioner and director of public information.

- Provide strategic guidance and support on synergizing messaging and aligning goals across communications channels, including social media, marketing, press, and multimedia platforms.

- Supervise the digital media coordinator.

- Collaborate with colleagues across the agency to implement creative strategies.

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC INFORMATION - 95620

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience in one or more of the following fields: real estate management, policy analysis, urban development, public relations, journalism, fund raising, advertising, public or business administration or a related field, at least eighteen months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity or supervising personnel performing duties in one or more of the fields described above; or

2. A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1" above. However, all candidates must have the eighteen months of administrative, managerial, executive supervisory experience described in "1" above.
