What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a senior, commercially focused partnerships leader to own and grow some of our most strategic content partnerships across the Americas. This role is responsible for managing high-profile publisher relationships and ensuring those partnerships are structured, maintained, and activated in ways that drive strong margins, sustainable ARR growth, and meaningful customer value.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Partnerships and Business Development, with significant autonomy and executive exposure. As the partnership portfolio expands, there is a clear opportunity for this role to evolve into a people-management position.
The ideal candidate combines strong licensing and negotiation experience with a practical understanding of the media landscape, cross-functional execution, and the commercial realities of content-driven SaaS businesses.
What You'll Do:
Own and manage relationships with strategic content partners across the Americas, including top-tier news publishers, content aggregators and distribution partners.
Lead end-to-end negotiations and renegotiations of licensing and revenue-share agreements, including renewals, expansions, and commercial restructures.
Drive partnership outcomes with a clear focus on gross margin performance, partner ARR growth, and long-term scalability.
Serve as the internal owner of assigned partnerships, coordinating closely with Product, R&D, Sales, Marketing, FP&A, and Legal to ensure successful execution.
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to support integrations, roadmap prioritization, and effective and compliant use of licensed content within products.
Enable GTM teams by ensuring partnerships are clearly positioned, well-understood, and effectively leveraged in customer conversations, and support customer-specific requests and engagements as required.
Collaborate with FP&A on forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis related to content partnerships.
Monitor developments in copyright, AI regulation, and the broader media ecosystem, translating implications into practical partnership and deal strategy.
Identify opportunities to expand and optimize the value of existing partnerships through deeper penetration, new use cases, or improved commercial terms.
Travel occasionally to meet with partners and internal stakeholders, typically light travel averaging approximately once per month as needs dictate.
What You'll Bring:
5+ years of experience in content licensing, strategic partnerships, business development, or a related commercial role.
Demonstrated experience negotiating complex licensing and revenue-share agreements with sophisticated counterparties.
Strong preference for experience within media, news publishing, data, or SaaS environments; experience on either the platform/provider side or publisher side is highly valued.
Proven ability to manage strategic relationships while maintaining commercial discipline around pricing, margins, and ROI.
Experience working cross-functionally and influencing outcomes across Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Legal teams.
A solid understanding of the North American media landscape and the role high-quality news and content play in driving business outcomes.
Foundational knowledge of copyright considerations and emerging AI-related regulation as it applies to content usage and licensing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate credibly with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Highly organized, analytically minded, and comfortable owning multiple complex partnerships simultaneously.
A self-starter who can work autonomously and can prioritize workload based on importance and expected outcomes.
