Location: Geneva, Switzerland or remote. European time zone preferred.

About UN Watch: UN Watch is dedicated to holding the United Nations accountable to its founding principles by promoting human rights and monitoring UN activities. We seek a talented writer to amplify our message across multiple platforms.

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced writer and communications professional to plan, create, and manage content for press releases, social media, websites, reports, op-eds, blog posts, and speeches, and to articulate UN Watch’s message clearly and distinctly across different platforms. The ideal candidate will be a gifted writer with one of the following profiles: speechwriter for head of state, cabinet minister or senator; editor of public affairs magazine; or foreign correspondent for major news agency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit press releases, op-eds, blog posts, speeches, and reports.
• Develop and execute content strategies for various communication channels.
• Manage and grow UN Watch’s social media presence.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent messaging.
• Monitor and analyze the impact of communications efforts.
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years experience in writing articles or op-eds that were published in major newspapers.
• Excellent English-language writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong understanding of media and digital communication platforms.
• Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner.
• Enthusiasm for the mission of UN Watch.
