As the Director of Commercial IT Delivery you are accountable for establishing and delivering the Commercial IT Portfolio for D&G to support their commercial strategy. This includes the governance and structure of the associated projects and programs and coordination of all IT resources including 3rd party solution providers.
You will work with business unit and enterprise IT stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, and Sales to shape the overall agenda, guiding from both a business and technology perspective to optimize the use of LGCs strategic solutions wherever possible or to evolve the technology roadmap to introduce new solutions where necessary.
This role will have responsibility for the IT delivery of agreed projects and programs and will work within an overall construct of business led delivery that will manage the organizational change and benefits realization of all initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business owners to identify, prioritize, and secure funding
- Coordinate business cases, budgeting, and oversee delivery of technology initiatives
- Accountable for the management and delivery of the business unit change programs, ensuring projects and programs are aligned to company strategy and business goals across Marketing and Sales
- Develop partnership with key commercial stakeholders to ensure transparency and aligned prioritization
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data and AI policies to maximise information for business decision making
- Lead the development of the annual Commercial IT plan, including budget and resource planning, to support the overall business vision and agreeing / prioritizing the projects with the D&G Leadership Team
- Lead, develop and grow a team of delivery leads and business analysts, inspiring and supporting them to deliver change initiatives while developing and enhancing their skills
- Drive system improvements and adoption of new technologies
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and high performance.
Essential Knowledge & Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience leading a program / project delivery team related to commercial solutions
- Ideally, successful hands-on project delivery experience with CRM (Salesforce.com) and eCommerce platforms
- Prior experience in IT management supporting business objectives for a mid-to-large size enterprise
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with experience guiding internal, outsourced, and cross-functional teams to successfully implement sustained change
- Advanced communication skills including meeting facilitation, presentation, & negotiating skills, able to articulate complex processes and communicate clearly to different audiences at all levels
- Prior experience in multidisciplinary team management, with a track record of technical staff development, retention, and succession planning
- Expertise in leading geographically and culturally diverse teams in globally matrixed organizational structures.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering challenging change / transformation programs in complex, fast paced environments
