Position Description


The Director of Capital Markets and Strategy will lead and support iBusiness Funding’s capital formation, structured finance, and strategic growth initiatives. This individual will play a key role in developing and executing the company’s overall capital strategy, including warehouse line management, securitization and ABS transactions, capital allocation, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in structured finance, financial modeling, and strategic capital planning, with the ability to work cross-functionally to support corporate development, M&A, and capital markets activities.


Major Areas of Responsibility


Capital Markets & Structured Finance

  • Support and manage the company’s capital raising efforts across multiple funding channels, including debt facilities, warehouse lines, and securitizations (ABS).
  • Lead execution and ongoing management of structured finance vehicles, including coordination with lenders, trustees, rating agencies, legal counsel, and internal teams.
  • Oversee warehouse line processes, ensuring efficient funding operations, compliance, and reporting.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating Loan Security Agreements, Master Repurchase Agreements, and other financing-related contracts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with capital providers, brokers, and institutional investors to enhance funding capacity and diversity.

 

Capital & Allocation Strategy

  • Develop and implement the capital allocation strategy to optimize the company’s balance sheet and support growth initiatives.
  • Partner with finance, treasury, and executive leadership to manage liquidity, leverage, and funding costs.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, interest rates, and credit spreads to guide strategic positioning.

 

Investor Relations & Strategic Communication

  • Prepare investor presentations, external client decks, and other materials to support capital raising and investor engagement.
  • Support iBusiness Funding’s Capital Hub by providing data-driven insights and tailored presentations to potential lenders.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to communicate financial and strategic updates to stakeholders.

 

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

  • Support M&A strategy and execution, including target evaluation, financial modeling, and due diligence.
  • Lead or assist in valuation modeling, transaction structuring, and post-acquisition integration planning.

 

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuation, securitization structures, and performance forecasting.
  • Build and maintain proformas, cash flow projections, and return analyses for new initiatives.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing financing structures using scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.

 

Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with financial covenants, reporting obligations, and structured finance requirements.
  • Work with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure adherence to all investor and lender agreements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to capital structure, funding, and liquidity.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA a plus.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in capital markets, structured finance, investment banking, or corporate finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse lines, securitization / ABS, and structured credit transactions.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, including valuation, proformas, and scenario analysis.
  • Familiarity with loan portfolios, asset-backed financing, and credit underwriting processes.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating Loan Security Agreements, Credit Agreements, and similar legal documents.
  • Proven ability to manage investor relationships and deliver high-quality presentation materials.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities.
