AI overview

Drive accounting process transformation by building a robust, scalable accounting infrastructure that supports operational efficiency and audit readiness.

We are a mission-driven FinTech company transforming the global fresh produce supply chain. Inspired by the belief that growers and buyers deserve a more transparent, efficient, and sustainable way to trade, we’ve built a platform that modernizes how produce is financed, sourced, and distributed. With 250+ team members across the U.S., LATAM, and Europe we’re empowering stakeholders across the agricultural ecosystem to grow fearlessly.

We’re scaling rapidly to meet global demand, backed by leading investors and a vision to create a more connected and predictable supply chain for perishable goods. Join us in redefining agri-finance and trade, one harvest at a time.

Role: Drive accounting process transformation, strengthen operational infrastructure, and ensure that accounting schedules, reconciliations, and workflows effectively support the company’s accounting policies and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operationalization of Accounting Treatment

  • Translate the Controller’s approved accounting methodologies into scalable, well-controlled processes.
  • Ensure that supporting schedules (e.g., CECL models, write-off tracking, revenue schedules) are structured, accurate, and audit ready.
  • Work with the accounting team to build, clean up, and maintain compliant schedules aligned with approved accounting treatment.

2. Process Integrity & Documentation

  • Strengthen documentation, SOPs, and workflow controls.
  • Improve reconciliation processes to ensure underlying data supports reported balances.
  • Ensure schedules and processes consistently support reporting accuracy.

3. Accounting Transformation & Cleanup

  • Lead cleanup of legacy balances and backlog items (including AR reconstruction and subledger remediation).
  • Implement structural improvements to stabilize the books and accelerate close timelines.
  • Drive automation and NetSuite Sandbox testing to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

4. Audit Readiness & Remediation

  • Resolve historical audit backlog items.
  • Enhance processes to prevent recurrence of deficiencies.
  • Ensure supporting documentation is complete and defensible.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Systems, Operations, and FinOps to align accounting workflows with operational processes.
  • Support Check and Balance processes and controls between FinOps and Accounting related to Billing, Collections, Payment Application, and Customer Statements.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance reporting scalability.

Impact: Builds a robust, scalable accounting infrastructure that ensures schedules, processes, and documentation are audit-ready and fully aligned with the Controller’s accounting conclusions, enabling operational efficiency without shifting accounting judgment authority.

  • CPA required; MBA or Master’s in Accounting preferred.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, CECL, and complex transaction analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (including Sandbox environments) and finance automation tools.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process transformation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
