Job Summary

Monro Auto & Tire is seeking a Director of Marketing Intelligence and Analytics to drive insights that power smarter, faster business decisions across our national automotive maintenance and tire service network. This senior-level role blends deep analytical capability with strong business intuition to translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies that improve efficiency, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.

Compensation:  The Salary range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000 annually.  This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives.  Pay will be determined based on experience level. 

Essential Functions:         

Business Insight and Problem Solving

  • Model marketing performance, forecast demand, and evaluate marketing program effectiveness. Develop predictive models and advanced analytical frameworks to identify leading indicators of performance, churn, and efficiency.
  • Lead complex, deep dive analyses to uncover drivers of business performance that intersect with marketing (e.g., “Why is call volume down in this market?” or “What’s driving a change in consumer oil change frequency?”)
  • Synthesize insights across Marketing, Operations, Merchandising and from customer data to recommend specific marketing actions.
  • Lead the design of marketing tests grounded in sound methodology including control group selection, attribution modeling, and statistical validation to translate test outcomes into clear business learnings and scalable marketing strategies.
  • Partner with leaders across Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, and other key functions to develop competitive insight analytics that reveal market dynamics, emerging customer trends, and opportunities in brand, messaging and offer strategy to directly inform Monro’s marketing approach and decision making

Marketing Data Strategy & Enablement

  • Develop and evolve marketing attribution frameworks and reporting that connect campaign activity to sales outcomes, enabling clear visibility into marketing effectiveness and ROI across marketing channels.
  • Validate, refine, and enhance existing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models including segmentation and propensity models to improve accuracy and impact on marketing strategy, execution and investment decisions. Partner with third party agencies on effective model use.
  • Represent Marketing in ongoing efforts with IT and other business groups to define and evolve Monro’s data strategy including identifying data source gaps that could improve measurement and diagnosis of marketing and business performance.

Education and Experience:

  • 8–10+ years in business analytics, data science, or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Background in automotive services, retail operations, or related multi-location businesses. Automotive strongly preferred but will consider the right candidate with other category experience.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Act as the senior “translator” between marketing data and the business to frame analytical findings in terms of business impact, risk, and opportunity.
  • Help drive analytical rigor in marketing decision making.
  • Present to senior leadership and influence decision-making with clear, confident, and data-backed storytelling.
  • Working knowledge of media, digital marketing, web and CRM
  • Ability to think like an operator with extensive knowledge of the marketing disciplines and advanced data fluency (Power BI, SQL/Python/R, statistical modeling, machine learning)
  • Ability to connect what’s happening in our performance to what’s happening in the real world: prospects, customers, search/media demand, web, stores and the broader automotive marketplace.
  • Ability to partner with third party agencies and vendors who support or manage elements of the marketing plan
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team to drive business results.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines. Position requires incumbent to see, read, hear, speak, reach, bend, sit/stand for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
