Director, Marketing Analytics

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced marketing analytics leader to lead, guide and scale our marketing analytics organization. You will help drive data-driven decision-making throughout the company from performing in-depth analyses that drive valuable and actionable insights to prioritizing projects for impact and redefining data across the organization.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $188,500 and up to $267,100. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Lead a high-impact team of marketing analysts, defining vision and guiding the establishment of clear marketing KPIs and measurement frameworks.
  • Drive the marketing attribution strategy for key business outcomes to measure the impact of marketing activities on each stage of the customer lifecycle and optimize marketing spend
  • Build and guide experimental frameworks to measure the incremental impact of marketing across Paid Channels, Organic, and SEO
  • Drive Chime's lifecycle marketing measurement strategy for both email and push notifications. Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering to implement and optimize measurement plans and reporting cadence
  • Uncover vital insights into customer behaviors by employing analytical frameworks and methods. Discover opportunities for acquisition and foster growth in customer lifetime value (LTV).
  • Work with marketing channel owners to craft & implement data-driven pilots to accelerate efficiency & effectiveness of performance marketing.
  • Working closely with Product Marketing partners to define go-to-market strategies for new product launches to achieve overall launch goals.
  • Become a trusted advisor to marketing and mentor on growth opportunities and identify new ways to use data to solve business challenges and support growth.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 10+ years of meaningful experience in analytics or other quantitative field
  • Recent B2C or Direct-to-Consumer experience is required
  • 8+ yrs of Marketing Analytics experience at a technology company with a deep understanding of marketing measurement, incrementality, channel attribution, and return on investment (ROI) frameworks
  • A strong quantitative background acquired through a degree in a related field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics) or through professional experience
  • Proficiency in one or more analytics & visualization tools. Looker is a plus.
  • Experience writing very sophisticated SQL queries
  • Experience leading and encouraging a team
  • Analytically-driven and results-focused leader, setting high standards to encourage excellence within the team
  • A deep understanding of statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions)
  • A passion for and track record of improving data for business impact, preferably in a consumer-facing digital environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: adept at conveying technical concepts clearly to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional relationships and communicating with leadership across multiple organizations
  • Skilled at surfacing insights quickly and communicating those insights in a way that persuades action
