As a Director FP&A, you will be a strategic finance leader, overseeing our FP&A function and shaping the financial strategies that support our customers’ success stories and Spryker’s continued global growth. Leading a team of two FP&A professionals, you’ll drive the insights, frameworks, and processes that enable the business to make bold, data-driven decisions.

Your work will sit at the heart of our value creation agenda; partnering closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to steer performance, allocate resources effectively, and unlock new levels of financial and operational excellence across the company.

THE ROLE

Reporting to our CFO, Franziska von Arnim, you will be responsible for the overall leadership of the FP&A function, ensuring best-in-class financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. You’ll set the vision, build scalable processes, and create a cohesive financial narrative that connects strategy, execution, and outcomes.

You’ll translate strategy into numbers—designing robust models, leading cross-functional planning cycles, and delivering clear insights that influence how we invest, grow, and adapt. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment, enjoys building and leading teams, and wants to shape how a business thinks about performance, value creation, and agility.

You will:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team of two, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with the CFO to shape and communicate Spryker’s financial strategy, including long-range planning and scenario analysis.
  • Own the company-wide planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and efficient capital allocation.
  • Partner with senior leaders, turning financial data into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
  • Oversee the preparation of management reports, board materials, and investor-ready narratives that articulate performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and other Finance peers to ensure accurate month-end close, high-quality financial data, and smooth operational workflows.
  • Further develop and maintain a consistent KPI framework that supports clear financial steering across Spryker, including commercial and SaaS metrics.
  • Champion agile, forward-looking planning practices (e.g., rolling forecasts, driver-based models) to increase responsiveness and adaptability.
  • Lead improvement initiatives across finance systems, tools, and processes, ensuring our tech stack scales with the business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor—challenging assumptions, uncovering risks, and contributing proactively to strategic and operational discussions.

WHAT YOU NEED

Experience and Expertise:

  • 10+ years in FP&A, Controlling, or similar strategic finance roles, ideally in high-growth SaaS or tech scale-ups.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing a small FP&A team or function.
  • Demonstrated strength in financial and strategic analysis, with end-to-end ownership of planning, forecasting, and performance management cycles.
  • Deep expertise in integrated financial modelling, scenario planning, and building driver-based models that connect P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Strong track record of partnering with C-level and senior stakeholders, influencing decisions through clear, data-backed storytelling.
  • Experience preparing materials for boards, investors, or lenders; exposure to fundraising or strategic transactions is a strong plus.
  • Experience within management consulting or similar strategic environments is a plus but not essential.

Technical Toolkit:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite (or comparable CRM/ERP systems).
  • Advanced financial modelling capabilities in EPM systems; experience with Pigment is a strong plus.
  • Advanced skills in Google Workspace (especially G-Sheets) and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Comfort working with modern data, planning, and reporting tools to automate and scale financial processes.

Ways of Working:

  • Highly analytical and structured, with the ability to simplify complexity into clear options and recommendations.
  • Strong sense of ownership and initiative, comfortable operating independently in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with a focus on enabling stakeholders through data, insight, and challenge.
  • Passionate about AI, innovation, automation, and the power of financial systems to unlock better decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, able to tailor messages to both financial and non-financial audiences. #LI-Remote
