Director, Finance

Position Overview:

The Director, Finance will leverage their financial modeling skills, business acumen, leadership, curiosity, and communication skills to provide insights and clarity around financial performance and projections. The ideal candidate will be able to take a strategic view of the Verra Mobility Commercial Services Organization and provide analysis and recommendations at an executive level to maximize shareholder value.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual planning process, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range strategic planning, including calendar development, target setting, template development and updates, partnering with corporate and business unit leadership to understand key assumptions and ensure plans meet financial targets and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain integrated financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flow). Identify risks and opportunities in multi-year outlooks, and understand the impact to financial metrics (ROIC, leverage, adj EPS, FCF conversion, and FCF/share).
  • Drive forecast accuracy and continuous improvement of planning assumptions and methodologies.
  • Provide decision support for new initiatives, pricing strategies, investments, margin expansion and growth opportunities.
  • Develop capital allocation scenario models to understand the impact of investment decisions and ensure decision making is consistent with value creation.
  • Perform in-depth variance analysis and develop detailed bridges to understand performance drivers, including price/volume and FX impact.
  • Develop analyses and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering clear recommendations to business unit leaders.
  • Prepare Executive and Board ready materials that clearly communicate financial performance and forward outlook.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to translate strategy into financial plans and measurable targets, and strengthen accountability by aligning operating metrics with financial outcomes.
  • Support M&A evaluation, integration planning, and synergy tracking as applicable.
  • Create timely and insightful financial reporting and analytics, including dashboards and scorecards, to improve visibility and transparency.
  • Drive data integrity and alignment across Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Account Management.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • A minimum of 10 years or more of progressively increasing responsibility in finance
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, SQL skills highly preferred
  • Individuals must be able to take initiative, draw conclusions, and own outcomes
  • Ability to develop complex financial models but summarize key metrics and conclusions in an executive manner
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion and Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) preferred
  • A sense of urgency with strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead projects, challenge assumptions, and achieve positive results
  • High-energy, passionate finance professional with a hands-on mentality
