Job Summary

The Director, Enterprise Process Improvement is responsible for driving utilization, prioritizing projects and driving operational process improvement engagements across the organization.  This position partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize company processes, eliminate waste, and support scalability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide process improvement strategy
  • Develop, implement, and monitor KPI’s to track team performance, company efficiency and report benefit realization
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by developing enterprise-wide toolsets, create strong organizational relationships, and delivering on process improvement engagements
  • Advise executive leadership on operational efficiency opportunities
  • Prioritize engagements that maximize organizational value through an effective enterprise governance process
  • Drive best practices across team through leadership and coaching, stakeholder education, and project guidance

Hands-On Execution

  • Design and implement future-state processes using innovative problem solving stragites, applying qualitative and quantiative measures to reduce waste, minimizing handoffs, and improving quality
  • Analyze organization business needs, working with SME's and users to discuss solutions and develop a plan
  • Identify and evaluate automation opportunities leveraging RPA, AI, and emerging technologies

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years' experience in business strategy or process improvement projects
  • 5+ years’ experience leading high performing teams
  • Practical application of Lean/Six Sigma and/or TQM process evaluation
  • Proven track record of personally executing complex process improvement initiatives while developing others
  • Certification in either Lean or Six Sigma
  • Agile certification a plus

  • Ability to prioritize work and delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for both personal and team deliverables
  • Demonstrated success influencing cultural change
  • Ability to overcome resistance to change (create win-win situations), and get work done through others to effect positive change and to generate sustainable improvements
  • Proven project management and facilitation skills with ability to lead by example
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor and develop others
  • Exceptional time management skills to balance hands-on project work with leadership responsibilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • Analytical and conceptual thinker; flexible approach; discretionary effort; organizational commitment; customer service orientation; innovation; and focus on teamwork
  • Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Project and SharePoint

  • Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
