About the Role:

Responsibilities for defining, championing, and delivering methodologies, programs, processes, standards, organizational structure, metrics, and communications around Data Governance capabilities in support and growth of our business. Works collaboratively with senior business and technology leadership to drive multiple strategic data programs across the organization including definition and implementation of a Data Governance strategy and roadmap for the organization. 

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for operationalizing, facilitating, planning, and promoting programs for Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Security, Data standards and patterns, Data Privacy, and Data Literacy.
  • Lead, develop, and direct Pathward’s Data Governance team.
  • Collaborate, educate, and mentor business and technical leaders across Pathward on modern Data Governance practices.
  • Align Data Governance with our business and technology strategy and roadmaps, communicate to business and technical partners across multiple levels within the organization.
  • Define and implement Data Governance principles, standards, and patterns using established Enterprise Architecture and Data Governance processes and frameworks.
  • Support enterprise efforts and programs to improve data quality and reconciliation activities.
  • Define and establish Data Governance strategy, standards, and guidelines.
  • Drive and measure effectiveness of Data related initiatives within the organization.
  • Collaborate across business and technology team members to ensure a holistic, enterprise scale value delivery for the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.  Masters preferred. 
  • Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent to include varied experience implementing all aspects of Data Governance and Management - Data / Big Data, Data Quality, Data Modeling, Data Privacy, Data Integration / ETL, Metadata Management, and Data Security; AI/ML Governance experience preferred.
  • 3+ years leading a Data Governance program.
  • 10+ years of complex enterprise experience leading distributed data architecture efforts with subject matter authorities from varying technology and business disciplines.
  • 5+ years of banking or financial services and products domain experience. We will consider experiences in similar or comparable domains as well.
  • Prior experience designing and/or optimizing processes to ensure operational excellence.
  • Prior experience defining data architecture principles and implementing data governance.
  • Experience successfully planning, influencing, and leading Data Governance initiatives across IT and business organizations.
  • Multiple successes driving Data Governance in an agile/scrum environment with expertise in planning/delivery tools. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the company; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting and work towards a common goal.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to consider alternate viewpoints.
  • Ability to mentor and coach business and technical resources on Data Governance guidelines and principles.
  • Strong architecture, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to handle ambiguous, and evolving requirements.
  • Ability to navigate and work effectively across the organization to influence, inspire and lead others around decisions that propel the organization towards set vision and goals.

Salary range: $125,000– $208,000

 

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
