Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. We are seeking a Director, Corporate Accounting, to join our Controllership team. This position will report to our Controller and will be located in Arlington, VA.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage all corporate and consolidated month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany allocations, variance analyses, integrity validations, etc.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and records in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles
- Maintain a system of internal controls over accounting transactions and areas of responsibility
- Maintain master data (e.g., chart of accounts, cost centers, etc.) and an orderly accounting filing system
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements – promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation
- Partner with FP&A on preparation of variance analyses
- Partner with operational accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and technical accounting teams to resolve and record appropriate accounting entries
- Manage and mentor corporate accounting team members
- Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
- CPA certification required
- 8+ years of experience in industry
- Intercompany accounting and consolidations experience required
- SAP experience is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel including the use of pivot tables and advanced data analysis formulas
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, including preparation of audited GAAP financial statements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing a high-performing team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Discretion in dealing with confidential material
