This role will require strong generalist skills to tactically operate a quickly growing clinical organization. This role requires strategic foresight, robust operational expertise, and exceptional leadership to ensure our services deliver a demonstrable impact for our partners and their patients. 

You will lead a large team of full-time staff and contractors. You will use analytics and data every day to make decisions. You have a proven ability to operate in technical contexts and lead, coordinate, and manage multiple stakeholders. You’re not fazed by the complexities of managing multiple related initiatives.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will...

  • Manage the CR Clinical Operations Team:
    • Oversee all aspects of virtual CR service line operations, ensuring seamless delivery of cardiac rehabilitation services.
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of clinical leaders and a large frontline team, fostering their professional growth and development.
    • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by providing real-time feedback, coaching underperformers, and recognizing high performers.
    • Drive initiatives to standardize clinical protocols and best practices, ensuring consistent and effective care delivery.
    • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and management of clinical operations team members, both full-time and contract.
    • Identify and support process improvement initiatives across our virtual cardiac rehab service line.
    • Collaborate with Product, Enrollment, and Partnership Success teams to improve workflows, standardize processes, and build more efficient teams. 
  • Manage the Metrics:
    • Own key metrics and ensure your organization meets them. Operational metrics include the percentage of engaged census, sessions completed per patient, churn, and session volume.
    • Utilize data and insights to identify trends, drive strategic impact, and optimize program performance while managing team KPIs. A technical/analytical bent will be required to succeed.
    • Identify and execute on opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation within the cardiac rehabilitation program.

Requirements for the Role

  • 8+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams of 50+
  • 5+ years in startups (ideally early-stage, tech or healthcare preferred)
  • Proven track record of building high-performing teams and hitting KPIs across both full-time and contract staff
  • Skilled in setting and executing department OKRs
  • Experience scaling virtual delivery programs efficiently
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, from the senior leadership to the frontline
  • Results-driven, with a high sense of urgency and service orientation, naturally relentless in overcoming barriers with speed and quality
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to solve complex problems without a playbook
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills
  • Able to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
  • Data-informed with strong analytical and technical skills
  • Deep passion for healthcare, demonstrated through professional or academic experience
  • NYC-based candidates preferred (in-office 2+ days/week)
