Role Summary
The Director of Clinical Insights bridges the gap between clinical strategy, healthcare data, and operational execution. You will ensure our high-spend members receive timely care by optimizing how we identify, reach, and engage them. You will steer the strategy for our clinical engagement channels and coordinate the integration of AI capabilities that empower our clinical teams to practice at the top of their license efficiently.
Key Accountabilities
· Clinical Engagement Channel Optimization: Act as the clinical strategic lead for our four primary engagement channels: Digital/App, Inbound Calls, Outbound Calls, and Internal Referrals. Partner with Product and Tech teams to enhance channel capabilities to maximize clinical visit rates.
· Clinical Stratification & Population Health: Refine the methodology for identifying actionable opportunities in high-risk, high-cost members, and driving health impact by increasing clinical visits amongst these priority individuals.
· AI Strategy & Operational ROI: Lead the operational integration of internal and vendor AI capabilities designed to automate workflows and uplevel clinical staff, ensuring AI initiatives translate into measurable internal operational cost reductions.
· Clinical Performance Leadership: Support the attainment of Clinical Performance Guarantees (PGs) through monitoring and cross-functional partnership, leading collaborative remediation plans to address gaps and exceed client expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
· Collaborative Leader: A strong track record of leading through influence in matrixed environments. Adept at partnering with Product and Engineering teams to influence and improve capabilities that drive health impact for our members.
· Data-Driven Strategist: Significant experience in population health or clinical stratification, with a high degree of analytical literacy. Adept at navigating complex
datasets, articulating precise data requests to technical teams, and synthesizing raw information into actionable insights.
· Clinical AI Adoption Lead: Skilled at bridging the gap between sophisticated AI tools and front-line clinical workflows, providing operational stewardship over design and deployments to drive operational cost savings while maintaining quality.
Minimum Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, business, or a related field; Master’s degree (MPH, MHA, or MBA) preferred.
· Experience: 7–10 years of experience in healthcare operations, population health, digital health, or healthcare consulting.
· Leadership: 3+ years in a leadership or high-level strategic role, with a proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives.
· Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of clinical performance metrics (e.g., typical healthcare PGs, care gaps, and member behavior reporting) and the drivers of healthcare cost.
