Director, Channel Sales

Ambient.ai is a computer vision intelligence company transforming security operations for large enterprises by preventing security incidents before they happen. Position Overview:

Reporting directly to SVP of Sales, Jeff Huisman, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Channel Director to lead our channel management and distribution strategies.  As the Channel Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing plans to optimize our products’ presence across various sales channels, ensuring maximum market reach and revenue generation.  Your strategic vision, leadership skills, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally will be essential in driving the growth and success of Ambient.ai.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive channel strategies that align with our overall business goals and objectives. Identify new opportunities for channel expansion and revenue growth
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing channel partners, distributors, and resellers. Identify potential partners and negotiate agreements to expand our channel network
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align channel strategies with overall marketing campaigns and product launches. Ensure clear communication and coordination between departments
  • Monitor channel performance metrics, sales trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of different channels. Regularly analyze data to identify areas for improvement and growth

The amazing skills you bring to Ambient.ai:

  • 7-10 years of channel management experience, ideally in the B2B SaaS space 
  • 4+ years of channel management experience with Security and/or IT VAR reseller partners
  • 3-5 years of sales management experience leading strategic partner and channel teams 
  • Strong knowledge of channel sales and marketing strategies, channel partner recruitment, enablement, and relationship management
  • Strong business acumen, a goal-oriented mindset, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and identify market penetration and differentiation opportunities

We take a market-based approach to pay here at Ambient.ai, and pay may vary depending on multiple factors. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, level, market conditions, and internal parity. 

Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package. As a fast-growing start-up, our regular employees are also granted stock options, and an opportunity to succeed when Ambient.ai succeeds.  As a young start-up with product market fit, our stock upside is substantial, and a large part of our total rewards strategy. 

The pay scale below represents the starting base salary range we expect to pay for this position, and is subject to change*: 

SF Bay Area:  $105,000 - $110,000 + commission 

*From time to time, we may decide to make an offer to a candidate that is either leveled below or above this role based on skills, experience, and interview performance.
