Director - Channel (CTV & Mobile OEMs) Partnerships

Drive strategic partnerships and unlock new growth opportunities across CTV platforms and Mobile OEMs to enhance app reach and subscription channels.

JioStar is looking for a driven and entrepreneurial leader to spearhead strategic partnerships and unlock new growth opportunities across the—CTV platforms and Mobile OEMs. This role is central to driving reach & distribution of the app and build new channels of driving subscriptions.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead ecosystem expansion across CTV, Mobile OEMs, SVOD and retail partnerships + Remote Hotkey partnerships.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to drive app usage, editorial visibility, remote integrations, and retail push.
  • Drive new business development with top-tier strategic partners that goes into areas beyond Reach and SVOD, like Payments, App Store take overs, Exclusive Content-led hybrid structures, and going deep with other verticals of our existing strategic partners.
  • Explore and unlock product-level partnerships (with premium audio/video features like HDR, Dolby etc.) and co-create space in wearables, automotive and other new segments.
  • Partner across internal teams (Product, Marketing, Ops) to drive GTM success and deliver partner value.
  • 10-15 years of proven experience in partnerships development/Business Development. Should be able to showcase some large-scale partnerships that he/she has executed in the past. Proven ability to create and execute complex, multi-partner deal.
  • The person should be strong on operational efficiency.
  • Strong exposure to OTT, Telecom and CTV and Mobile OEM platforms.
  • Strategic agility, strong communication, persuasion and advocacy skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management both internally and externally.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent storytelling, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently, influence laterally, and lead complex projects
  • High attention to detail, flexibility and willingness to be resourceful in getting things done.
  • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong bias for action, and ability to work independently toward stated goals with minimal oversight.
  • A passion for video content is a plus.
  • Executive presence with proven ability to influence and earn trust.
  • Tenacity and sense of urgency; the ability to make things happen quickly with large, less nimble partners and/or teams.
  • Qualifications:
  • MBA from a Tier 1 institute preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the India OTT space and wider trends of digital media streaming services.
  • Strong existing network of contacts amongst some of the following industries- OTT, CTV & Mobile OEM platforms.
  • Must be willing to travel.
