About This Role 

Compass Health is seeking an experienced Director for our Adult Mood & Anxiety Programs. This includes oversight to the Adult Mood & Anxiety PHP/IOP, Adult Mental Health & Substance Use PHP/IOP, and Mental Health, Chronic Pain, & Illness PHP/IOP.  As a Director you’ll lead a designated clinical team, while continuing to participate in active patient care. If you are passionate about helping other clinicians grow, and concurrently being given the opportunity to remain an expert in your clinical skills, you would be a great addition to our team. 

Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Providing direct managerial oversight to Associate Director, Primary Therapists, Family Therapists and Group Therapists as needed
  • Identifying hiring/staffing needs and participating in interviewing and hiring process
  • Executing new hire onboarding and staff development
  • Initiating employee performance appraisal and staff performance improvement program compliance with accrediting bodies
  • Leading the day-to-day execution of policies and procedures as well as the mission and objectives of Compass
  • Managing program paid time off to ensure adequate staffing patterns
  • Working with Chief Clinical Officer and leaders across the organization in implementation of Compass wide initiatives, including Access to Care, Optimal Outcomes, Continuity & Excellence, and Patient & Family Engagement
  • Responding to clinical crises as needed and coordinating response of others
  • Working with Center of Excellence, Learning and Development, Data Review Board and other departments as indicated.
  • Participate in community outreach and coordination
  • Supporting cross coverage at other locations when indicated by staffing patterns.
  • Overseeing calls about program eligibility and appropriateness. Ensures referrals are provided as needed.
  • Conducting clinical intakes to identify clinical diagnoses, functional impairment, personal strengths and make treatment recommendations
  • Providing group, individual, and family therapy, as needed
  • Communicating with patient’s family members or support system, as needed
  • Coordinating care with patient’s outside providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Assessing patient’s progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
  • Engaging in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication
  • Charting progress of patients appropriately
  • Participating in professional development activities 

Who You Are: 

  • Psychologist or Master’s level clinician with one of the following licenses: PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LCPC
  • Internal applicants must have experience successfully implementing organizational initiatives including Optimal Outcomes and Access to Care
  • Internal applicants must be Principal-level or above to be eligible
  • Experience developing and managing programs and clinical teams
  • Experience supervising therapists, both licensed and seeing licensure
  • Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other effective and efficacious treatments
  • Experience with patients in crisis
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Experience with program target population in group and individual therapy settings

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications. Compass reserves the right to update these ranges.

This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus which is dependent upon individual and company performance.

Compensation
$90,000$115,000 USD
