This Position

The Director of Account Management is a strategic role responsible for transforming, leading, and scaling some of our largest customers, serving acquirers, payment processors, and strategic partners who consume VikingCloud’s Cyber Risk Defense and PCI Solutions. This leader will manage an established group of tier-1 customers across and will partner with customers to define and execute opportunities for customers to grow their businesses through the use of VikingCloud solutions.  You will help our largest customers create value and growth, while simultaneously creating opportunities for VikingCloud to grow within the accounts.

The Director of Account Management will work closely with VikingCloud’s  Product, Sales and Marketing teams, to ensure alignment across the customer lifecycle and to maintain VikingCloud’s position as the trusted global partner for cybersecurity and compliance solutions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Account Management

  • Own and nurture executive-level relationships across a portfolio of tier-1 acquirer and payment processor accounts, acting as the primary point of escalation and strategic advisor to ensure long-term partnership health and retention.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for strategic accounts, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and strategic alignment.
  • Oversee management of client requests related to solution enhancements, reporting needs, and coordination of new product releases and implementations.

Create Customer Value

  • Partner with customers to deeply understand their merchant portfolio dynamics, compliance challenges, and growth objectives, translating those insights into tailored VikingCloud solution strategies that drive measurable business outcomes for both parties.
  • Define paths of growth for both parties - the customer and VikingCloud
  • Be a thought leader within the customer, based on candidates deep understanding of payments, security, and compliance solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the C-Suite—Product, Security, Technology, Finance, and Operations—to align customer needs with business priorities.
  • Provide account-level insights and market feedback to drive innovation of PCI compliance,  Cyber Risk Defense, and broader cybersecurity solutions.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure smooth delivery of enhancements and new product implementations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in business, technology, cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, consulting, or a strategic growth role in the payments industry.
  • 5+ years experience in cybersecurity and PCI compliance.
  • Experience developing business cases, developing revenue growth strategies in the payments industry, and aligning product value with customer strategies.
  • Strong enterprise-level negotiation skills, especially with large acquirers, processors, and global technology clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including ability to engage and influence the executive team and C-Suite stakeholders.
