The Role We have a client looking for a Performance Marketing Manager with deep expertise in direct mail and offline media. This is a 40hr per week contract role, with an initial 5-month term. This role will help own the strategy and execution of direct mail programs across all consumer-facing campaigns, including direct mail, shared mail, package inserts, flyers, and other offline placements. In addition, this individual will manage promo code operations tied to direct mail–driven campaigns supported by the broader paid marketing team. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with internal marketing, analytics, martech, creative, and external agency teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong performance mindset and hands-on experience driving measurable ROI through direct mail and other offline channels. Responsibilities • Own media planning, execution, and optimization for direct mail and print marketing campaigns • Lead direct mail strategy, including audience targeting, offer strategy, testing, and scale plans • Manage promo code operations for direct mail campaigns, including setup, tracking, spend, and fraud controls • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to plan direct mail budgets and ensure spend aligns with financial objectives • Manage direct mail vendors and agency partners, including RFPs, test-and-learn programs, and tooling integrations • Drive continuous improvement of direct mail measurement, including attribution, incrementality, and media mix modeling • Analyze direct mail performance, surface insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations • Stay informed on direct mail and offline media trends, costs, and measurement innovations Ideal Candidate Profile • 2–5+ years of experience managing direct mail or offline performance marketing campaigns • Deep hands-on experience with direct mail strategy, execution, and measurement • Strong understanding of performance marketing KPIs and direct response direct mail tactics • Highly analytical, with advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or similar data environments strongly preferred • Proven ability to develop data-driven direct mail testing frameworks and optimization roadmaps • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset • Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, agencies, and internal partners
