As the Diligence Manager, you will oversee a team of senior diligence analysts and diligence analysts, ensuring smooth execution of client engagements, pipeline prioritization, and operational excellence. In this role, you will balance people management, client relationship oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, reporting, and quality control.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage the diligence team, setting priorities across incoming deals
  • Oversee client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and satisfaction
  • Support new client onboarding, including mapping tapes, guideline acceptance, and setup
  • Partner with analysts to ensure client guidelines are programmed correctly
  • Collaborate with engineering to address bugs, implement fixes, and roll out new features
  • Provide quality control (QC), reporting, and system testing support
  • Act as an escalation point for client issues, including calls and emails
  • Drive continuous improvement of diligence processes and team performance

You should have

  • 10+ years of experience in credit, mortgage operations, or real estate finance, with 2+ years of direct people management
  • Familiarity with collateral review, tape diligence, underwriting documentation, and secondary loan market practices
  • Proven ability to prioritize across a high-volume deal pipeline without dropping the ball
  • Experience managing client-facing workflows and troubleshooting issues in real time
  • Comfort working across functions, especially with engineering, product, and QA
  • Track record of building team culture, coaching for performance, and driving accountability
  • Ability to spot inefficiencies and redesign processes for clarity, speed, and scale
