Description

Our Japan office is looking for a detail-oriented Digital Project Coordinator to support the production and delivery of creative campaigns across film, digital, and social platforms. Working closely with the Producer, you’ll help manage timelines, resources, and communications to ensure smooth coordination across teams, partners, and clients.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about creative production and eager to grow into a producer role in a fast-paced, international environment.

What you’ll do

  • Support Producers in the planning and execution of multi-channel campaigns, including TVCs, digital films, photography, and social content.
  • Coordinate internal workflows by tracking deliverables, updating timelines, and ensuring that project milestones are met.
  • Assist with project documentation — preparing meeting notes, production schedules, call sheets, estimates, and post-production trackers.
  • Facilitate communication between creative, production, and post teams to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the process.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as bookings, purchase orders, and invoice tracking in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Support on set and in production when required — liaising with crew, vendors, and freelancers.
  • Assist in sourcing local talent and suppliers (directors, photographers, editors, studios, etc.) and maintaining up-to-date contact lists.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines, escalating risks or issues to the Producer proactively.
  • Contribute to client presentations and reports, ensuring materials are accurate, timely, and visually aligned with Monks’ standards.

What you’ll bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in a creative agency, production company, or digital content studio.
  • A strong interest in film, digital content, and the creative production process.
  • Exceptional organizational skills — you thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Great communication skills, both in Japanese (business level) and English (working proficiency preferred).
  • You are capable of communicating both verbally and in writing in Japanese (business level), speaking a bit of English is a plus, but not a must.
  • A collaborative mindset — you enjoy working with diverse teams and supporting creative talent.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented attitude: you’re quick to anticipate needs and eager to learn from hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, or similar) and basic Google Workspace proficiency.

Why You’ll Love It Here

You’ll be part of a global network of Monks, working on high-profile campaigns that push creative and technological boundaries. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on production experience, learn from some of the industry’s best producers, and contribute to the making of innovative work that resonates across platforms and cultures.
